Re: PCL as FFC input

Jump to solution

Hi Stefan,

thank you for the information. We would prefer converting PCL to PDF with Ghostscript. But I am not sure we can use it - it's licensed under AGPL copyleft license.

I will check PrintDistributor as well.

Thank you.

With the Output Management module you can submit PCL files to FreeFlow Core and print them unaltered in pass through mode.

With the Advanced Automation module you can use a script on a FreeFlow Core hot folder that converts the PCL files to PDF using something like GhostPCL https://www.ghostscript.com/releases/gpcldnld.html before they are submitted to the workflow. If you need to print the PCL files to FreeFlow Core (instead of submitting to hot folder), and also convert them to PDF, you could use something like https://www.printdistributor.com/ to reroute the printed PCL files to a FreeFlow Core hot folder.

PCL as FFC input

Hi, is there a way how to import PCL spool (or TXT with PCL instructuons) into FFC. I am aware that PCL format is not officially supported. But maybe there is another Xerox or third party product....

Thank you.
