Understood, thanks Ken.
I made the change you suggested and I'm getting the desired result now. Just need to think in sheets vs. PDF pages.
Thank you for your help! I marked that reply as the solution.
I had a similar issue with changing the page range. I had to remove the cut marks, then add them back in and then add the desired page range.
Hi Ken,
Thanks for the suggestion. I would love to try it out, but FreeFlow Core is not applying the changes I'm trying to make in the Cut Marks section of my Imposition Preset. Video attached...
Am I forced to create an entirely new cut marks to make this change? I'd rather just edit my original.
If my previous suggestion does not work for you, then please upload an exported core workflow and provide a sample file to see exactly what you are doing.
The software I believe is 'working as intended'. Tested with Core version 6.1.3. So if you set your imposition node to SIMPLEX and test your job I think you will see the crop marks start on page 3 as you want. In this case the page # = sheet #. However, when you set impose to duplex, then page # 5 starts on sheet #3.
So when setting duplex, try using 2--1.
Duplex turns sheet 1 + sheet 2 = page 1. Then sheet 3 + sheet 4 = page 2.
Thats why 2--1 should get you the 'page 3' you want.
Otherwise you could split pages 3--1 off and impose only those pages with crop marks and then join them back together...
I am using an imposition node in one of my workflows to add cut marks to a PDF. Using the Cut Marks placement settings I intend to apply these marks to page 3 of the imposed PDF, to the last page.
I'm unable to include a screenshot in my post, so here's my settings in the Cut Marks - Placement section of the imposition node written out:
Page Selection: Page Range
Enter Page Range(s): 3--1
Press Sheet Sides: Both Sides
With these settings, FreeFlow Core consistently places Cut Marks starting on page 5 of the PDF, not page 3. I thought my issue may have been the negative page syntax, so I tried again with the following:
Page Selection: Page Range
Enter Page Range(s): 3
Press Sheet Sides: Both Sides
With the above settings I am still having cut marks show only on page 5 of my PDF, not page 3.
Am I doing something wrong here or is this a bug?
