Re: Passing Web Width in a job variable

Jump to solution

Yes - you can do this by defining a press sheet size that uses a variable for one of both dimensions. When you define the width and height in FFCore v4.0.3.0 and later you will have the option to use a variable instead of a fixed value

The first variable in the menu is the Stock Height or Width which can be defined in one of the following ways:

  • Job Submission UI - Via XPIF media-size attributes when uploading a job file and an XPIF print ticket
  • Hot Folders - Via XPIF media-size attributes when uploading a job file and an XPIF print ticket
  • MAX - Via XPIF media-size attributes when submitting a manifest with a pointer to an XPIF ticket
  • JMF - Via Media/@Dimension attribute in the JDF ResourcePool

Alternatively, you can define a numeric custom MAX variable and use that when defining the press sheet size

Passing Web Width in a job variable

Jump to solution

Is there a way to pass the web width to be used in the impose node and have it use that width (which may not be the most efficient),
