Has anyone else noticed significant performance issues with FFC when using Chrome or Firefox?
To achieve optimal performance with Modern Browsers, make sure you select the High Performance power plan from the Operating System Power Options Control Panel.
It would be helpful if you could contact Xerox support and submit a SPAR.
I have and so far they're indicating that the issue's I'm experiencing seem to be isolated to me; if other users are experiencing the same issues unfortunately they aren't creating cases.
I have had better luck with Firefox than Chrome however. As it is now, I can't even get Chrome to let me edit any node, I get a "Page Unresponsive" error whenever I try to edit any node in Chrome.
In Chrome, everything is the same. Even if you run Core on a local server. Restarting the computer helps a bit, but after a while the Core responses get long again. This issue also affects Core Exchange. Backups are made very slowly.
You are not alone. I have reported a similar issue. See here:

I have also contacted support and they are monitoring the issue on our installation and made some suggestions regarding not closing our browser as it affects the cache, and also changing the setting for simultaneous running jobs, but we have not seen a noticable change in the issue. We have the problem with any browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Happens on both PC and Mac. We also see a slowdown in actual job processing. A restart temporarily fixes the problem, but it returns usually within a day.
Im getting to install Core 5.4 are there still issues with preformance?
What release did you previously try?
5.1.0.9
