My solution requires the Advanced Automation license. The first step is a Route node which has an odd page branch and other (even) branch. Then a split node is used to separate the first page, the middle pages, and the last page (only for even page job). The single pages (first and last for even page job) are imposed 1 up on a 8.5X11in press sheet . The middle pages are imposed 2UP sequential on 11X17 in. press sheet. See screensnaps.
