Re: Ricoh printer through JDF gives problem

I have seen a JDF issue between a Fiery and an application like QDirect using JDF. This was not a Ricoh, but maybe a similar thing is happening...

So on the Fiery, there is an 'optional' module that can be installed in the Fiery software manager. The module is named something like Fiery JDF Integration. Anyways, it had to be installed for my customer and it allows some of the JDF to be updated inside the Fiery unit for compatibility.  After I did this for QDirect compatibility we found that jobs would come over and print, and then and ERROR would appear. This was because at the end of the JDF a communication was trying to be sent to 'close out' the job. Inside this Integration module there is an option that says 'Automatic' Close or 'Manual' Close.  I set it to Manual and all the errors went away and jobs were reprintable etc.

Worth a shot!

Re: Ricoh printer through JDF gives problem

No change of SW on the Ricoh.

The only change is FFC :-)

Will try to investigate further

Did the SW on the Ricoh change? If the job prints once on the Ricoh, it would appear that the FFCore job was correct.

Ricoh printer through JDF gives problem

Hi, before upgrading from 5 to 6.2 we could access a Ricoh ProC9200 via the JDF port (8010) without any problem, files could be printed an re-printed.

We did'nt change any paramaters of the printer.

But now, after upgrade, files are still correctly printing on the printer but after print they are going on error.

Ther is no way to re-print it again.

Anyone an idea ?

Thanks

Yves
