You should be able to do a migration like you are thinking. But I would go from 5.x to v6.0 then to the latest. I have done this many times with old workflows from 5.x.

We are still working with a FreeFlow Core version 5.4.3 (update is not possible due to the no longer supported Windows version). Meanwhile we have new hardware with Windows 11 and FreeFlow Core 7.0.1 installed. Unfortunately it is not possible to import the workflows from the old system (Exchange file should be version 6 or higher). So we setup a system with FreeFlow Core 6.1.6 to import (and export) the file there – without any success. Neither of the workflows nor the setting could be imported. Is there a way to convert the old workflows into v7.0.1 or do we have to redesign them?
