Re: Unable to add Fiery DFE to FreeFlow Core server

You will not be able to connect to this Fiery using a Printer preset. You will need to use either the Save component and save to a Hot folder for that Fiery (using the Fiery Hot folder application) or you can use the External component and LPR print. For LPR print see this post on the forum: LPR printing via the external component

Unable to add Fiery DFE to FreeFlow Core server

I am trying to add a Canon imagePress C700 with a Fiery DFE to my FreeFlow Core server. Each time I attempt to add the printer (using the IP of the Fiery) I get the message:

Unable to retrieve the printer's information
An error occurred while connecting to the printer specified.
Verify that your printer is online and able to accept internet and network connections.

I am able to ping the Fiery DFE from the FreeFlow Core server as well as access the administrative web page.

What might I be missing in terms of setup when attempting to make this work?

Thanks,
Gary
