Re: Update page size variables from external process.

Adding the imposition step does update the variables which is the desired result.

The Resize pages option did not update them.

Thank you for this.

Re: Update page size variables from external process.

I think (but I am not sure) that if you do a 1up imposition to an automatic press sheet size (without size options) that will update the variables.

Might be able to do the same thing if resizing to 100% Width and Height.

Please let me know if either work for you.

Update page size variables from external process.

Hi there,

I have a job in which I receive PDFs with mixed page sizes. for example a letter document that contains 11x17 foldouts and a couple of pages smaller than 8.5 x 11. In reading the doumentation and experimenting, I know that the dimesion variables are set on the first page of a PDF submitted to a workflow.

I have an external process which resizes and orients the pages in the document to a common orientation and sets the dimension to the largest page in the document. This is where my problem lies.

In the example above, the document when returned from the external process is 11x17. The variables remain set at the original first pages size (8.5 x 11). Is there a way to force the update of the dimensions when a file returns from the external process? I am using the dimension to append to the filename on save in this case.

Looking for some ideas.

Chris
