FYI. Cancelling install process, rebooting server, turning off anti-virus, and re-installing the update worked fine.
Thanks!
Thanks, luckily I did a backup prior, so will try cancelling upgrade. I think you may be correct about the anti-virus. Turning off the anti-virus shield resulted in the installer getting as far as the VIPP Services Installation before then again stalling.
Unfortunately, there is no way to safely interrupt the Installer so you will need to manually cancel the process.
It's unclear what may be a contributor, but the most likely causes are interruption due to a virus/security application running. Please refer to the Xerox FreeFlow Core Security Guide for important information regarding Security Protection settings. The guide can be downloaded from the Xerox Security website at: xerox.com/security
...and it is always recommended to perfrom a full system backup prior to perfroming updates and upgrades.
I am upgrading from v6.2.3 to v6.2.4 and the installer never gets beyond 'Configuring file system access control list...' with the Task Manager showing IIS Worker Process at 98.5% CPU usage. The installer has been stuck at this stage for around 60 mins.
Is there a 'safe' way to abort the upgrade? Video below.
