Re: Using ZIP files

If you have one workflow ending in a save node with the filename set to $FFwfJob.jobName$  and the save location being the hotfolder location of a print hotfolder/workflow (e.g., C:\Xerox\FreeFlow\Core\00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000\Data\Hot Folders\printhotfolder), you should see the job name on FFCore and the DFE be the name of the pdf(s) within the zip file.

Re: Using ZIP files

I have figured this out. I was able to retain the zip file name with a save node so I am just saving into another hot folder that sends it to print.

Re: Using ZIP files

I have been able to add a save node into the workflow which allows me to keep the name when I save but I cannot figure out how to save the name when it goes to the printer. It always uses the name of the first file in the job.

Would really love it if someone could respond to this. This is a very big deal for us. We process thousands of zip files in this manner and I am really stuck here.

Using ZIP files

Currently we have a workflow in Process manager that allows us to drop a Zip file into a hotfolder and it imposses each of the files within the zip file and then joins them all into one file and sends to the printer. With this process the resulting file that is sent to the printer retains the name of the original zip file.

When I try to re-create this process in Freeflow Core the resulting print file at the printer is named using the first file's name within the zip file instead of the actual original zip file name. How can I change this so that the print file name is actuallty the original zip file name. This is important because the names of the files within the zip file are unimportant but the name of the Zip file contains critical job information.
