Using multiple trays on same print job based on page orientation

I have PDFs that contains both portrait and landscape page orientation, is it possible to set up a print queue on the printer (DP180) that based on the orientation of the page the printer can pull from separate paper trays? If this is not doable on the printer, can Free Flow Core workflow accomplish this task?

Re: Using multiple trays on same print job based on page orientation

FFPS does not have decision logic that would automatically route pages based on orientation. FFPS does have page exception functionality that could be used. The operator must know the orientation of the pages and setup up the page exceptions accordingly.

FFCore also has page exception capability in the print node. Again the page orientations would need to be known before job submission. An xpif describing the desired media on a page basis can be submitted to FFCore with the job. Again the page orientations would need to be known before xpif creation.

FFCore has decision logic in the Split node which can use page orientation as the decision criteria. Use of these nodes would result in two jobs (the portrait pages and the landscape pages).  The Join node does not restore the original page order (all the landscape or portrait pages will be first in the joined job). The separate jobs could be directed to use different media at the printer. Unfortunately, the pages would need to be manually reassambled to restore the original page order.
