If your FreeFlow Core configuration includes the Variable Data optional module, you will need to obtain a new license when upgrading to version 5.3.0. Otherwise, no action is required - your existing (5.n.n) license will continue to work.
The process to obtain a new license differs depending on the manner in which you obtained your original license. If you obtained your original license from the Xerox Software Activation Portal, you may obtain a new license by returning to the portal at: https://www.xeroxlicensing.xerox.com/Activation/ and performing the following steps:
- Enter your FreeFlow Core Variable Data Activation Key and click ‘Next.”
- Select ‘Retrieve current license file’ and click ‘Next.’
- Select ‘Download license file’ and save the file to your Desktop.
After you obtain the license file, it may be uploaded during the upgrade process by selecting “Load license file from .dat’ when prompted, or anytime thereafter by accessing the FreeFlow Core License utility from the Start menu.
