Re: banner page

The Fiery DFEs support the "leading banner pages" job ticketing option but they do not display it in their UI. I also believe that this setting is only supported via IPP / XPIF.

Re: banner page

On the DFE, where is the job's Settings/administrative banner pages tabs?

This is on a Fiery . I have gone through all the tabs and don't see anything for a banner page.

Thanks in advance,

Rick

Re: banner page

Thanks Troy.

Step one worked.  Now I will go to the DFE and try step 2.

Re: banner page

I agree, this is pretty easily done.

As Javier said:

If you are using a field for the job name, then you would have to have the pdf name populated in a field somewhere, otherwise if you are letting Core assign the job name, it will use the pdf name as the default job name.  This will allow you to pull in the pdf, and even scale that pdf onto your banner page.

You are asking about two issues in one question.

First issue is how to append a banner page onto your imagery, this is done via insert pages, then Watermarks, within the watermarks you can specify the pdf name that you want pulled onto the banner page.

2nd issue is how to change the setting on the DFE so that it only prints the banner page once, when you specify a quantity of 50.  1 banner page, 50 copies of the 36pg document.  This is done at the DFE using the job's Settings/administrative banner pages tabs.

Re: banner page

Also. How are you submitted the job? We don't have a variable for the name of the PDF but it is used as the job name if a name is not otherwise defined.

Re: banner page

There is an example of this workflow in the EasyStart workflows. You can add a blank page in the workflow and then add text and images. In the print component you tell the system to ticket the job with one leading banner page. That will tell the DFE (fiery and FFPS) to treat the page as you want.

banner page

I want to have a banner page that simply uses the name of the PDF. If I send a 32 page book, I want to have 1 banner page prior to the first page. If I print 100 copies of the job, I still just want just the one banner page prior to the first sheet of the first copy. It seams like that should be easy todo, but I nor one of Xerox's trainers can figure it out. Is there someone out there that can help me with this? We don't have a MIS system in place yet to help with this.

Thanks
