Problem solved.
I was using the MAX variable for "Paper Stock Name" as a branch condition in a Route node. After the update to 4.0.2 this was apparently no longer allowed.
My workaround (thanks for your help Stefan) was to replace the MAX variable for "Paper Stock Name" in the node with a new variable text field.
FYI
Time-consuming update for me. Also my preflight check node was set to "Paus job on error". Took my sometime to find that one to.
I now also tried to add a new printer using the DNS name instead of the IP. Didnt help.
I dont quite understand. See attached screenshot. I've entered IP all along. You didnt?
I dont know what you mean by using the IP?
The printer is added through the "Printer Destination List". The connect there is always by IP, not the DNS name.
Try using the IP address of the printer instead of the DNS-name. Looks like a bug in the latest release.
Hi,
You are correct. The Save node is working as a work-around until the problem is solved.
Thanks!
btw tried create a new both printer preset and workflow. didnt help.
I understand it like the jobs goes through the workflow until it fails in the Print Component. While waiting for the support you can always use the Save Component instead of Print to send your jobs to the printer. I assume you have a Hotfolder enabled on your printer. Set the Save Component to save in that folder.

Now tried reinstalling the version 4.0.2 and this time with the anti-virus software disabled. Didnt help.
Also the LogOn credentials where wrong, fixed that. didnt help.
Removed the all printer qeues from all the workflows, deleted the printer and then added a new. Didnt help.
Sending this to level2 support. No jobs are comming through, panic!
