When I use the kpf file (I provided) in the Preflight node, I obtain the results I would expect -- see below. I am mystified on why you are encountering difficulties. Contacting Xerox support to solve this may be the best route to take. They can get to the bottom of the issue and we'll fix the problem.
Hi David,
I used your .kfp file that you sent me, and it also doesn't work. Looks to me like we have a Acrobat / Core version issue; 1 of the 2 is not cooperating. What do you think, Acrobat version issue, or Core version issue?
Erick
I am referring to opening up the .kpf file using notepad. I do not see content, within your kpf file, that calls out trim box adjustments. I see these adjustments when I look at the .kpf I created.
Morning David,
Here is a link to a screenshot of the .kfp file that I sent you showing the settings I used to move the trimbox. It looks good to me, and is the same as the one that you built, except you have it in points and the "Factor in page scaling factors checked.
When you say that you don't see my directions for setting the trimbox in my file, do you mean in the code? Because the settings are there, as you can see in my screenshot. I don't work in the code area, so I don't know how to check that, or change the settings in the code.
Erick
I am suspicious that your kpf file does not contain directions for setting trim box values. I created my own kpf (attached) using Acrobat Pro 2020 and part of the file contains the following:
<ffeat>SetPageBox</ffeat>
<fparams>
<fparam>TrimBox</fparam>
<fparam>RelativeToArtBox</fparam>
<fparam>-.5</fparam>
<fparam>-.5</fparam>
<fparam>-.5</fparam>
<fparam>-.5</fparam>
<fparam>pt</fparam>
<fparam>Always</fparam>
<fparam>allPages</fparam>
</fparams>
I do not see comparable contents in your kpf file. Another option to consider is to use the FFCore Resize node (see below).
Hi David,
I upload the .kfp file into the Preflight Node with no problems, Core processes the PDF with no errors, but when I open the PDF, the Trimbox hasn't changed to the new settings from the .kfp file. It's like Core doesn't even see it.
Here is the link to the .kfp file that I am using.
Thank you for your quick response,
Erick
I unfortuneately do not have Acrobat Pro DC. I have Acrobat Pro 2020. By not working do you mean:
Can you attach/download the offending profile to this thread?
I am using Acrobat Pro DC with Core, version 5.1.2.0
Erick
Core is not recognizing the .kfp file that I upload into the Preflight Node.
I have been using this method for years, but now can't get it to work.
What I do is create a custom profile in Acrobat. I create a custom fixup, moving the trimbox in .5", then export it as a .kfp file, import it into Core and process a PDF file. It will then move the trimbox in .5". But now it is not working.
Please advise,
Erick
