Re: landscape versus portrait imposition

Yes I knew I could do that, was just hoping that there was something in the imposition node that could identify and adjust if need be, maybe in a future release? Thanks.

One can have a rotate node proceeding the imposition node. See below setup for rotate node:

landscape versus portrait imposition

Jump to solution

I have a workflow that is using MAX. When it processes files I would like a signature imposition node to recognize when a file is portrait or landscape and for it to impose the pages properly. Basically I want the node to recognize when pages are coming into the node as 11 x 8.5 then it automatically imposes the pages as a "calendar" type imposition and when they come in as 8.5 x 11 it imposes as standard portrait book imposition. Is this possible? I have been playing with the imposition node and have been trying to use the press sheet orientation "automatic" setting but this does not change how the pages impose. When the landscape pages come into the node it imposes them in the same format as a portrait book so the pages are side by side and get cut off. Is the imposition node able to change the imposition style for a landscape book or automatically rotate the landscape pages so that they impose correctly?
