We have the same problem with the toner.

Called early Friday and they said someone will get
back to us Monday??

After doing some research online at other blog sites, it seems that the 700 was never supported like it should be. Other customers have been complaining that they were down of a whole week waiting for toner. We have had the 700 for a little over a year of a 5 year contract. It has been stressful, I have run out twice and have just run out again. I call the Reps. first and hope for the best. They blame Japan, and that is probably true, but I also don't think they realize that these machine (when running) are very good quality and I am using ours to capacity. Depending on what I am running, I will go through a lot of toner very quickly. We are beginning to regret getting this machine and are wondering if they have violated the contract by not providing supplies in a timely manner. Anyone else?
My understanding is that the series of natural disasters in Japan has affected the supply chain. Even if the toner itself is not made in Japan, almost all of the chemicals that make up the toner are.
Why is toner for the Xerox 700 in such short supply? Our orders for metered toner supplies are all backordered, not arriving for 4 weeks! We've had to call our local Xerox rep to get special shipments. Does anyone know why this is suddenly a problem?
