Have a read through THIS.

Did find a blogpost about this issue.

Hope at least some of it helps :)

Re: CWIS Inaccessible after firmware upgrade from xxxxx.100 to xxxx.105 in WC 3220

Thanks Kimzi for your support

Well I have tried to delete the cookies and access CWIS but no chance.

I have also tried the restarting option as advised by you but didnt succeed.

Do you know how can I open the page of CWIS using USB connection.

Thanks

Re: CWIS Inaccessible after firmware upgrade from xxxxx.100 to xxxx.105 in WC 3220

Hi again!

It could actually be several reasons, sometimes the web-cache is to blame, removing cookies and so forth can help when that happens.

Also when upgrading, the machine does mistakenly think its disabled even though its not, thats why I asked you to disable and enable again. (you could do these two steps again, disable CWIS and restart the machine, enable CWIS and restart the machine)

And when it comes to downgrading/upgrading you can do this when connected through USB.

Here you go:

To upgrade the firmware via a USB connection:

  1. If necessary, click on the [Drivers and Downloads] link under the Product Resources section on this window to download the firmware update file for USB connections.

NOTE: Two versions of the firmware upgrade file are available (one for USB connections and one for network connections). Make sure to download the file specified for USB connections.

  2. Make sure the USB cable has been connected to the computer and the machine and that both devices are powered on.

NOTE: If the Found New Hardware Wizard is displayed on the computer, click on [Cancel] to close the window.

  3. Browse to the location of the downloaded firmware upgrade (.*exe) file, and then double-click on the file. The Firmware Upgrade Utility window will be displayed.
  4. Click on the [Local (USB)] radio button.

NOTE: The Firmware Upgrade Utility can only be used for USB connections. The utility cannot be used to upgrade the firmware over a network connection; disregard the Network radio button.

  5. Click on the [F/W Update] button to start the firmware upgrade process.

A "Flash Upgrade" message will be displayed on the machine's Display Screen for about one minute, and then an "Image Update Please Wait" message will be displayed for about five minutes.

  6. After the firmware upgrade is complete, the machine will automatically reboot and an "Upgrade Complete" window will be displayed on the computer.
  7. Click on the [OK] button to close the Upgrade Complete window.

Best Regards

Kimzi

Re: CWIS Inaccessible after firmware upgrade from xxxxx.100 to xxxx.105 in WC 3220

Dear Kimzi

This is the main problem which I cant understand that if CWIS is enabled why cant I access the machine. Is this a bug in the firmware. But the main thing is that no one reported about it. I dont know what to do now.

Do you know any way I can revert back to old firmware.

Re: CWIS Inaccessible after firmware upgrade from xxxxx.100 to xxxx.105 in WC 3220

Hey you!

Oh ok, it's probably the same as the "CENTREWARE IS" option, although it's named differently.

If the centreware option is enabled, what about trying to access CWIS from another computer?

Re: CWIS Inaccessible after firmware upgrade from xxxxx.100 to xxxx.105 in WC 3220

Dear Mr Kimzi

Thnaks for your reply. In the network configuration page

IPP Information = enable

Raw TCP/IP Printing = enable

LPD Printing = enable

SLP Protocol = enable

IP Filtering = disable

Auto IP = Enable

SSDP = Enable

Ethertalk Protocol = Enable

I cannot find anything like HTTP protocol on the network configuration page.
