We're looking at a Canon 8430i and a Xerox 7435, and a folding/stapling attachment on them. The Canon people tell me that beyond one page, any multiple page print job that is folded must also be stapled. We don't want to staple certain jobs. The Xerox salesman I spoke to said their stapling feature can be turned off, but I need verification that this is so, as he has not been very accurate about other features on the Xerox. Can anyone confirm or deny his claim that stapling can be turned off? Thanks.
Hello jihatch,
Yes, depending on the finisher, you are not limited to every folding job must be stapled. The booklet maker in the Professional Finisher, for example, will allow a limited amount of sheets into the booklet maker, and these can then be either folded and stapled, or folded only with no staple.
