Re: Cannot login to CentreWare Internet Services

I just setup my CentreWare account for my B215 and thought it had gone smoothly until I tried to change some settings and was prompted for my user name and password so I entered my newly created password and it wouldn't accept it.  And I found the only way to reset your password via restore factory defaults requires you to enter your login name and password...ugh...so if you forget it or have problems it appears you're screwed but that's for another support thread.

This may be ahead of your issue but will share what I did and what tripped me up and the solution that saved me from tossing my new printer out my second story window.

When you first enter your IP address from the configuration report in a web browser you are prompted to enter the default password which as someone has already pointed out is the machine's serial number.  The prompt/screen I was presented with upon entering my IP address had the user name of Admin already entered.  I then entered the serial number under default password and then created my own password.  I thought I was set until I went to change a setting and was prompted to enter my user name and password.  Over and over I entered Admin as the online Xerox support instructs to do and the password I thought I had created, I even tried using the default serial number as some help topics suggest, but still nothing other than elevated **bleep** pressure.  I kept reading through help topics and noticed that when people were offering help they kept typing "admin" with a lower case "a" but the screen where I initially created the password by default had the user name Admin with a capital "A" as did one of the Xerox instructional pages instructed but I tried the lower case admin and that was stranglely enough the fix, that allowed me to finally login.

No. I use Firefox. Since you suggested it, I have tried Chrome, Vivaldi and IE - no luck with any of them.

Is it worth trying a factory reset?

Yes - I can access the CentreWare Internet Services no problem but entering 'admin' and the machine serial number does NOT log in. It just keeps asking for the login/password over and over again.!

Cannot login to CentreWare Internet Services

Product Name: Xerox B215 Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

I'm a home office user that bought a B215 last week.

It is all setup and working but I cannot login to CentreWare Internet Services to configure the printer - i.e. to turn of the Startup Configuration Report!

I assume the login is 'admin' and searching online for the default password suggests it should be 1111 or the printer serial number. Neither of these work.

Can anyone help please?
