Re: CentreWare Web and low power mode printers

No. IP range is OK. The only possible problem I'd like to discuss is low power mode. Maybe someone had this problem before. Rustam

Re: CentreWare Web and low power mode printers

It also may be that the printers IP's are outside of the sweep range too.

  1. Open the CentreWare Web application. In the Address field of the web browser, type: xx.xx.xx.xx/centrewareweb, where x represents the IP Address of the computer where CenterWare Web is installed.

NOTE: For version 4.4.19, type: xx.xx.xx.xx/xeroxcentrewareweb/.

  2. From the Administration pull-down menu, select [Discovery], and then select [Discovery Methods].
  3. Click on the pencil icon next to [IP Sweep] to allow you to edit the discovery criteria.
  4. Scroll down to the IP Addresses section, and click on the [Single Address] radio button.
  5. Enter the IP address of the printer you want to add in the field provided, and then click on [Add] to add the IP Address to the Current IP Addresses table.
  6. Click on the [Save] button.
  7. Click on the check box next to [IP Sweep] to insert a check mark, and then click on [Run Discovery Now] in the Actions section. A 'The selected discovery(s) have been started' message will be displayed. When the discovery completes the new printer will be displayed in the Printer list.

Re: CentreWare Web and low power mode printers

Possible but unlikely, only way to be certain is to do a scan, then wake 2 sleeping printers and scan again, if 2 more are discovered you  have confirmed your suspicion.

Then you would need to play around with the Energy saver settings.

But the scan discovers devices via SNMP. Check that it hasn't been disabled by an overzealous IT guy.

CentreWare Web and low power mode printers

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hello!

I have CWW installed and it founds only 12 devices out of 30. There are no network problems. No firewalls or failures.

Is it possible that the reason is that printer is in sleep mode?

Thank you.

Rustam
