Re: Centreware Privacy Password SNMP v3

I just checked the SNMP v3 settings on my Altalink and Versalink units with a third party tool, everything is fine.  Seems like Centreware isn't set up to use it correctly :-(

Re: Centreware Privacy Password SNMP v3

I have just gone through all of the browsers on my machine: Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Internet Explorer.

None have worked.

I am noticing there is a field "Context Name" but I do not see this field explained in the documentation or in the device GUI, is this important?

I'm also trying to get this working on my  Versalink printers too but I get a different error.  Seems like this software isn't a very good product (or the printer firmware isn't that great, which I know is true).

Re: Centreware Privacy Password SNMP v3

Are you using Chrome?

I don't use CWW at all, but Xerox software and firmware does not play well with Chrome for tick boxes or passwords

Centreware Privacy Password SNMP v3

Product Name: CentreWare Web
Operating System: Windows Server 2016

I am trying to connect our new printers (Altalink C8030 in this case) to our new CentreWare server (running 6.0.7).

I can get them to connect via SNMP v2 but I would rather use SNMP v3.

I have set the Authentication and Privacy passwords on the printer to simple passwords for ease of testing.  When I configure them (by copy and pasting to make sure they match) in CentreWare and hit save I get the error "The Privacy Password does not match the specified User Name."

I know the passwords match as I copy and pasted from a txt file into both the configuration page on the printer and CentreWare.

Does anyone have any advice on tips or tricks to get this to work?

Thanks.
