Your error code is reporting:

An LDAP server protocol error occurred in the address book operation. The server returned the RFC2251 specification protocol error 34 (invalid DN syntax) during the address book query. An invalid DN syntax was specified. Check the user name and password. Check the LDAP server authentication settings and other status.

Dear All,

I have an issue connecting workcentre 7120 printer thru mac os x 10.8 server using ldap as connectivity.

The fault code is 018-734 which is something to do with the LDAP settings.

Here's my LDAP server configuration - Connectivity > Protocols > LDAP > LDAP Server

• IP Address / Hostname and Port - 192.168.0.1:389
• LDAP Server - Other Applications
• Search Directory Root - uid=user111, cn=users, dc=example, dc=local
• Login Credentials to Search Entries - Remotely Authenticated User
• Login Name - user111
• Password - user111password
• Search Time-Out - User LDAP Server timeout
• Perform Query On - Mapped Name Field

Here's my Authentication System settings - Security > Remote Authentication Servers > Authentication System

• Authentication System - LDAP
• Server Response Time-Out - 5 secs
• Search Time-Out - 30 secs

Any help will be highly appreciated.
