So what we did was to switch to the Xerox Global driver. It has about 80% of the printers we have in it. Then we use the XML editor that Xerox has, and we set the printers defaults that way. Its done with Powershell and a registry entry. I can share that if that is what you want
I have also encountered such a case. Looking forward to support via WhatsApp GB
the problem is that we don't want to give users the ability to do that. We want to roll a specific set of settings to the end user. We decided to go with the global driver but it presents issues as well.
Hi RogerSween,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. The app that needs to be loaded is the Xerox Desktop Print Experience App which you will need with the V4 drivers to extend the feature set available on the Xerox V4 Print Drivers and is required for full feature print functionality of the V4 Drivers.
If you install it the message should go away and you will have the fuller featured driver interface.
Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
I'm trying to do a generic print driver roll out. I've downloaded XeroxWorkCentre7970_6.159.10.0_PCL6_x64 and PS driver. When I do an install,
rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /if /b "Bob - Xerox WorkCentre 7970 V4 PCL6" /f "C:\Local Apps\Xerox_7970_6\PCL\XeroxWorkCentre7970_PCL6.inf" /r "Bon" /m "Xerox WorkCentre 7970 V4 PCL6" /z
it installs ok, but in the settings it says "App avaliable for this device" We don't want this. Is there a way to stop this driver from presenting this?
