The coil whine is very loud to be tolerated.

Nevermind. Had to move the printer to a whole other room due to pretty loud coil whine.

Maybe add the option in a future firmware update regardless?

Hi NoName1,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. The light blinks when the printer enters the power save mode.  You can adjust the timing of the power save but not disable the power save.  Please consider contacting your support centre to see if there might be a way to have a technician disable the light or the flashing.

Disabling standby LED

Product Name: WorkCentre 6515
Operating System: Not Applicable

Just set up said printer.

Is there a way to change the standby LED behavior? Permanently on or (preferably) off would be fine, but having a bright white light pulse in the corner of my eye 24/7 is going to make me crazy.

Please don't make something pulse unless you want it to get attention.

 

I'll help myself with cellotape and cardboard in the meantime.
