The 250 has no print interpreter of any kind, so you cannot print to it directly.

I'm trying the steps and have had some difficullty.  I'm sure it something I'm doing wrong.  In the meantime I have another question.

What if I just bypassed the creo and connected the cat 5 directly to the docucolor 250.  Would that work?

thanks!

Creo interprets all the print data.

Creo was made by Kodak, they are no longer supported. I believe yours would be running Windows XP on it.

The driver may not work on Windows 10, but if it does (or doesn't) it would be loaded from the creo itself to the laptop.

So in Windows 10 you would simply open the start menu and type \\192.168.1.100 (192.168.1.100 would be replaced by whatever IP address your Creo is using)

It should open a Windows Explorer window and show the available queues on the Creo. The 3 defaults are:

ProcessPrint <prints the job>

ProcessStore <stores the job to be printed, modified or released later>

SpoolStore <I honestly can't remember what that one does>

At this point, you just right-click on the one you want and choose Connect To

But Windows 10 won't like this due to the age of the drivers it will use, you will likely need to disable Signature Enforcement at the very least just to get the installation to work.

Hi,

I just purchased a docucolor 250 with a creo.  I probably got myself in over my head but I guess i have to start somewhere.

I plan to dedicate a windows 10 laptop to this machine.  Should I start by smply downloading the docucolor driver to the laptop like I would with any $200 computer off the shelf.  If so, where would I find this driver?

While I'm at it.  What does the creo do?

Sorry for the amateur questoins, but I will really appreciate any help!

Mike

Windows 7 drivers work fine on windows 10, worst case scenario you would need to disable signature verification first.

I have a 250 with bustled Fiery and print from multiple Windows 10 machines with full features.

The DC260 driver can be downloaded from w3.efi.com and it should give a newer layout and still have full compatability.

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hello,

is it possible to use a Docucolor 250 with built-in Fiery in a Windows 10 os?

Has anyone tried to use an older driver, for example Windows 7 driver and managed to print without any problems?

I would like to upgrade from 7 to 10 and guess if I will be still able to print...

Than you

Regards
