Document Centre 440DC -- does it have hard drive?

Hey!

The 440ST is the one with the hard drive.

If you do have a hard drive on the machine, you will need to remove the rear cover of the machine, to be able to see the system board, the hard drive is installed to the right top on this board, usually just attached with a few screws.

I think I'm sure.  I have not seen it, but when I emailed asking for the model number, they replied "

XEROX Document Centre 440DC."

I found this document -- http://tinyurl.com/cew4jvd -- which lists a 2.1 Gb drive under "Copying" on page 5.  Maybe that refers only to the ST.

The Digital Copier (DC) version of this machine does not have a Hard Drive. The Multifunction System (ST) version does have a Hard Drive.

Are you sure that it's the DC version that you have?

I finally found some documentation, and it shows a 4.5Gb system disk.  I need to tell them where to find it if someone can tell me.

One of my branches has an old Xerox Document Centre 440DC to dispose of.  Can someone please tell me if it has a hard drive that needs to be removed first?

I'd check it myself, but it's 100 miles away.
