Thanks, I had a feeling this was the case.

There are likely too many variables to document.

Potential persistent problems exist: If area specified does not receive attention problems may reoccur.

This could be as simple as a DNS failure that would affect nothing internal to the network, but may disable Scan to email, and will stop Smart eSolutions.

Machine requires administrator assistance: Authorized System Administrator must address problem.

This would be anything that requires you to login as admin, things like a networking failure from DHCP to authentication failures, transfer failures etc etc.

Machine is operational, but degraded: Machine is running at reduced efficiency, needs immediate attention.

Paper jams mostly (reduced because no output, but not down because outgoing fax and scan will work is an example) but could be a dead phone line (no fax) no network (cable unplugged, still faxing and copying)

The biggest PITA is that often multiple things get tripped at the same time. If there is no paper at all in any tray you get the email from the Potential Persistant, Mqacine is Operational but degraded, and Paper supply all at the same time.

Documentation of exactly what events comprise each Status Code category for email alerts?

Jump to solution
Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I would like to tailor email alerts from our ColorQube 9303 to not be so plentiful.

There is very little documentation as to exactly what events these individual Status Codes are comprised of:

Billing meter reads reported
Machine or some services are not available
Potential persistent problems exist
Machine requires administrator assistance
Machine is operational, but degraded
Paper supply is low
Paper jam is detected
Supplies or CRUs are low

The Glossary is not much help in the three areas I would like to have specifics:

  • Potential persistent problems exist: If area specified does not receive attention problems may reoccur.
  • Machine requires administrator assistance: Authorized System Administrator must address problem.
  • Machine is operational, but degraded: Machine is running at reduced efficiency, needs immediate attention.

Is there a full documented list of all the error conditions and what of the above categories each pertains?

Thanks
