Good afternoon,
Trying to pull some info for my manager; we currently have Centreware Web installed on a Windows 2016 server environment, and wondering if it supports SSL encryption for the CWW portal? We are having to comply with security standards and want to encrypt the connection. If it does, is there any documentation for implementing this change? Everything I've searched for has only related to using CWW to install SSL on a printer, we are trying to get CWW itself running with encryption using a provided SSL certificate.
Thanks!
Hello Coreye,
I was only able to find the same information that there are no known problems installing CentreWare Web (CWW) to an IIS server running Secure Sockets Layer (SSL.... I would recommend contacting your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Product Specialist for more assistance. Please call 1-800-821-2797.
CentreWare Web does support SSL. All you need to do is go into IIS Management, drill down to the Default Web Site and click on Bindings... in the Actions pane. In the site binding window, make sure that https is there and remove http. Once you make this change, you will need to make sure that the URL you use to access CWW starts with https, like this - https://servername/centrewareweb or https://IPAdress/centrewareweb
