Use a different browser, I would actually suggest Internet Explorer, and you will be able to see the properties option.

Finally my local dealer has installed me a Phaser 7500 basically because i have read on the System Administrator Guide "You can use FTP to send print-ready files to the printer".

Incredibly they don't know how to set it up!!!!!

Following the instructions on this manual I can find the Properties tag on the CWIS but the Protocols folder doesn't appears, also I'm not prompted for the username and password.

How can I make this happen. Thanks.

Is there a way I can activate and configure the ftp server on this machine?

I don't think there is a printer that can do it that is made by Xerox (I checked ConnectKey/Discovery/VersaLink/AltaLink and FujiXerox controllers), but all EFI Fiery rips do it that I have come across, as seen here:

Current Generations (CWS > Server > Configure > Job Submission > FTP Printing)

Older Generations (CWS5>Server > Configure > Network > Services > FTP)

I know a Freeflow Print server also has the ability, purely because I know that is how Production Print submits via the Freeflow Makeready setup, so it would work too, but I think it just works natively to the default queue. (You can simply enable FTP, then create an FTP user and submit with its credentials)

Hi all,

I'm to buy a color printer. A profesional one.

I need to send to the printer pdf files from a server in internet. No direct connection to this printer.

The pdf to be sent will have personal data so I can't use an thierd email system.

What I think I need is a printer with a ftp server in it. The sending server will connect to the ftp server on the printer, put the pdf in a folder in the printer and anything in this folder has to be printed immediately.

Does Xerox have a printer with this specification?. My local dealer has been unable to answer this question.
