Having dialled the support number in the US I was given the UK number which I called. After speaking to 3 different people and on the phone for what seemed like an age to try to get a simple answer to a simple problem, the resolution is to pay £240 for an engineer call out, with the possibility of additional charges for parts should they be needed. An outrageous and uneconomic charge for a printer used in a home working environment.
I've resolved the problem by purchasing a HP printer, this Xerox one will be taking a trip to the dump for disposal, a regrettably poor result in terms of sustainability for Xerox products. But an economically better solution for me.
I'm sorry I ever bought Xerox, the service aspect is awful.

Hello dexradio,
Please call 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100 for assistance with resetting the printer back to factory defaults.
Appealing to the "hive mind" for help, I can't find an answer in the forum, I have searched.
I've lost my Admin Password, but there is no option in my menus to do a Factory Reset.
The manual states that I should follow the instruction below, but when I go into Device, there is no Reset option to select. And of course I can't remember the default password.
Device > Resets > Reset to Factory Defaults.
Not sure what I should do next? Any help is appreciated.
Dex.
