I have the same problem with AltaLink C8055. Did someone fix this problem in the meantime?

I am having similar issues. We wiped the drive and tried to forced update through the altboot on a C8045. I have narrowed it down to one of two things because I was finally able to get it to work correctly on one of the machines. Either updating the firmware to the most receent firmware before wiping the drived worked or the allow firmware update needed to be turned ont. Not sure if it is one or the other or both.
You need to go through the Partner Portal or the GSN webpage to get the altboot upgrade.
Where to download the altboot .dlm file. The one I got from the driver page is only 179mb
No, there is no Special Boot on AltaLink family.

Do you know if there is a special boot mode, similar to the Versalink, where you can hold the Home and Power button down until a Special Boot Mode appears?
Maybe the SD card is corrupted.
