Hi,
I have a machine that we have got into service and we have an suspicion, that the HDD i replaced.
We want to do a Forced Altboot, but no matter what we do, it tells us, that we have to do a Special Altboot??
We have searched the service documentations but cant find anything about that.
The PWC code is "U"
See attached files.
Any help will be appreciated.
Hi,
Have you tried the AltBoot method with FORCED_UPGRADE file inside the AltBoot folder?
Also be sure the full DLM for AltBoot method is over 400 MB.
On the other hand, it exist a procedure to reinstall machine software by a tech with the PWS.
Gabi
This is the name of the file ''WorkCentre_7200-system-sw#07303007534540#ENG_MOD.dlm'' from AltBoot folder and it has 449,008 KB. Is this right?
Yes, for Xerox WC7220/7225
It is a ALtalink B8045, not at WorkCentre....
We have tried with the FORCED_UPGRADE in the Altboot folder, with no success.
The file is the large one, see attached photo: AltaLink_B8045-8090.... Size 447.643KB
Maybe the SD card is corrupted.
Thanks for the advice @gabiene. I would dive into it.
Do you know if there is a special boot mode, similar to the Versalink, where you can hold the Home and Power button down until a Special Boot Mode appears?
No, there is no Special Boot on AltaLink family.
Where to download the altboot .dlm file. The one I got from the driver page is only 179mb
You need to go through the Partner Portal or the GSN webpage to get the altboot upgrade.
