Hi Joe,
I received your reply the other day concerning upgrading the firmware
on the Xerox Versalink C400 Printer.
I followed your instructions and was able to install the most curent
firmware. After doing so there was another program Icon added to
the printers touch screen. "It is @PrintByXerox". When I try to access
it a message appears: "The service you are requesting is not available.
Please check your internet and proxy settings are correct."
My Xerox Versalink C400 printer is connected to my computer using
the USB cable connection. It seems I need to create a Network Connection
to access this and other programs that are available for this printer.
My Internet connection is not through a proxy but direct to the Internet
through the Intel 82574L Gigabit Network Connection.
I am using the Ubee UBC1301-AAOO Cable Modem through RCN.
There is a Internet Cable running from this modem to the Internet
port on my computer. If I need to set up a Network connection
with my printer there is a port on the back of the printer and I have
one unused port on my modem. There is also another connector on
my computer next to the Internet connection port I'm using. It's
labeled as "AMT". I don't know what that means.
I'll have to contact somone here locally to hopefully set up a Network
connection for my printer.
Sincerely,
John Eline

You can however update the printer without it being on the network.
Download this and follow these directions (Skip to page 3)
The firmware that is the latest version at the time of this posting is 67.33.01, you can get it here
Hi,
Every machine MUST be connected to communicate on the Network: Wired or WiFi.
Gabi
Hello,
I recently purchased the Xerox VersaLink C400 Color Printer from Edwards Business Systems on
July 16th.
I'm in the process of setting up this printer. I noticed there is an update available but couldn't
get the update because it had this text message "Not Connected"!
Will I need to set up a Network Connection to get this update? To print from my computer I am using a USB
connection and that's working fine!
Thanks for your time and help!!
Sincerely,
John Eline
