The steps to set it up are fine. Now that I've set it up, how do I know if it works? If there's no 'test email' feature, then what else can I do it test it?

I am not sure if there is a test email function. Here are the steps to set up the supplies notifications. Again, I couldn't find anything for testing the email notifications.
I'm just setting up a brand new VersaLink C500DN. I'd like to test that it's able to send email. But I just can't find anything to make it send a test message. I don't want to wait until toner is actually low to make sure the email is working. If there's no test button, what's the easiest fault I can generare that should send an email? Removing the toner perhaps?
