Re: IP Address Fluctuates or Changes. How to Fix?

Let's get this straight "If I disconnect the LAN wire and try to connect" you get no connection? Read that again and think about it for a second, you'll probably figure out what the issue is.

I'll give you a hint: it may be a good idea to keep the wire that connects the network to the computer plugged in. or visit router default ip 192.168.1.1 and reset your router also.

Re: IP Address Fluctuates or Changes. How to Fix?

Hi, thanks for helping out.

I think the battery is fine. However, whenever I am trying to log in through the router, it keeps redirecting me to a different IP address (the default one is 192.168.10.1)

I even tried to use the router login website - https://routerlogin.onl/192-168-10-1/ but the username and password didn't work.

You don't get marked as spam for replying in a forum, it would defeat their vcery purpose.

If the printer is using DHCP it gets a new IP on reboot, if it is static/manually assigned, it doesn't change ever.Unless someone else at your location is changing it, or the CMOS battery is dead and it goes back to DHCP on reboot. If that is the case you will need to find and replace the battery, or set your router to always assign it the same IP address via DHCP via its MAC address

Re: IP Address Fluctuates or Changes. How to Fix?

Hi Joe, I already read that post and that solution didn't work. I wanted to reply in that thread but then it would be considered as spam.

That's why I copied and posted it in a new thread. I hope you understand what am I saying.

Why exactly would you make a post that is word for word taken from this very forum (And one that was marked solved)?

IP Address Fluctuates or Changes. How to Fix?

Product Name: WorkCentre 3215
Operating System: macOS 10.12 - Sierra

Hi,

Every day or two I find that I can't access my 3215 from Easy Print Manager (ESP) nor from the Centreware Internet Services due to the printer's IP address changing for some unknown reason. To get ESP working I need to reconnect my PC to the printer via USB each time to reset it. This can't be right.

Can I reconfigure ESP from my laptop to get it to work without using a USB cable? I tried but see no option to do it. I have Windows 10. Why does the IP address of the printer keep changing and what can I do to stop it from doing so? I'm new to Xerox so please bear with me.

Regards, Rafael
