Previously used Smart Start software to install printers on a few PCs without issue. Just tried again today and it could not find our printer on the network (auto and manual process). Tried two PCs, both can ping the printer, Windows Firewall off, and both previously had the printer installed via Smart Start app. Had to resort to installing the printer via Windows. No changes in either enviroments. Unfortunately, I dont have an older version to test if its a bug with the latest release. Happening for anyone else using XeroxSmartStart_220.127.116.11?
It appears to be broken, Mine has been running for 5+ minutes and done not a thing.
Opened the MS one and it found some printers within seconds, so it is not an issue of the OS or LAN blocking required ports
If you need it to work, you would have to call Xerox and complain about it to 2nd level support so they will SPAR it. Xerox doesn't monitor these forums from a technical support standpoint, it is peer-to-peer.
A full 25 minutes later it found a bunch then proceeded to go into Not responding
