Thats great thanks! - no problem - will have a play around with each tray, wont matter to give it a go. I recall when a tech reset our alignment he did it for each tray, even though they seem to adjust accordingly with each other. so will try the Density Uniformity for each tray too.
I believe the first answer is yes, not sure on the 2nd, I have never used a Versant 80 and can't test it.
Try it, if it allows independant settings per tray then you should do so.
Thank you for the reply, think this is what i have been looking for! I have had a read through and will have a proper look on the engine asap! There are a few issues I'd like to ask about....
near the beginning of the procedure it says
Select the type of stock that you most commonly use, and use a paper of this type
with the widest width side-to-side.
Where it says select the stock most commonly used - does this mean I should only have to perform this procedure 'once' on any stock (most commonly used) OR do I have to perform this on every stock and then perform re-calibrations??
--------------------------
The later stage of this procedure where it says:
When adjustments are complete, select Confirm.
You can now see the results of the adjustment procedure. To do this:
a) On the UI window currently open, under Paper Supply, select the tray for which you created the adjustment.
As though Its leaning towards doing this for every Tray and every Stock. Is this the case??
SIQA has two options in the dropdown box, you want the 2nd one, Page 95 of the System Admin guide explains how to do it along with the printed sheet in your pictures.
I'm yet to post this on EFI forum, as I think its an engine process rather than a Fiery?
I'm wondering on how I go about performing linearization for our Versant 80. After watching Fiery presentations regarding, calibration, colour consistency etc ..... They mention linearization of the engine alot - but don't actually go into it any further than just that.
My question is, is this an automatic feature on the versant 80, or is it manual user process?
A tech guy came in few days ago and said that SIQA (which we have and use) is linearization. (the black sheet in the first image) But We don't actually and have never seen the linearization sheet of colour bars,(the last image) that the Fiery presentation displays. Has siqa replaced this? and its all done automatically via inline spectrophotometers inside the engine etc?
Of course we use the calibration sheets (not exactly the same as the second image).
Thanks.
