Re: Menu Locked messages

My workaround of attaching it to a Linux server is still the best option I can find. I already had Linux macines here so it was fairly easy. If anyone else has the same problem then a Raspberry Pi or something similar should be easy to set up as a print-server.

Re: Menu Locked messages

I didn't find a solution but found that I could do all that I needed by attaching the printer to a Linux system and using the PostScript driver. I could probably have used password-cracking software but now I don't need it.

Re: Menu Locked messages

Thanks Tammy but that won't work. The network menu is locked too so I can't use it to reset the printer.

Re: Menu Locked messages

Hello Gizmodynamics,

Here are the instruction to preform a factory reset.

If the password has been set, then forgotten, follow these steps to reset it to the factory default (factory default is NO password required for access to CWIS). On the Control Panel of the printer:

Print a confguration page prior to performing these steps see the Related Item below.

  1. Press the Menu key until you see Network

  2. Press OK

  3. Press the Up or Down arrow until you see Clear Setting

  4. Press OK

  5. Press OK with Yes highlighted on the next screen

  6. Power the printer off

  7. Power the printer back on
Thanks,

Menu Locked messages

Product Name: Phaser 3600

I have just bought a used Phaser 3600. I can't set it up because some of the menus are locked. Can I bypass the locks or reset it to ex-factory status?
