You are correct, the embedded accounting can only be configured to purge at a percentage of capacity.
Both XEAR and XEARFlex would enable you to pull the accounting data on a schedule or immediately, which ever would suit your needs.
If you have remote access to the Nuvera file system, there is a hack.
You can use FreeFlow Remote Print Server to view the accounting log, or it can be viewed at the printer.
When this is done, the system generates a file called 'display.txt' in the /var/spool/XRXnps/log/accounting_log/tmp/ directory.
You can then ftp the 'display.txt' file off the Nuvera system and view or print it with any text editor.
The difference here is the XEAR, XEARFlex, and accounting export data is compiled into database format.
This can then be imported into your favorite database program for manipulation and tracking.
The 'display.txt' file is just that, a plain text document.
Hope this helps,
Seems like a little over kill to get XEAR for a single report, which is already built-in to the printer. I know with the FreeFlow Output Manager server there is a CLI way to run these types of reports. I was expecting there to be a way to do it directly on the printer, but I am guessing that is not possible?
XEAR and XEARFlex can both accomplish this task as well as archive the results.
I have provided a link to the Print Production Customization site.
Hello;
I have a need to automate the accounting reports on a daily basis. While I know that I can do an automated export/purge when the log is at 80%, this doesn't meet our needs.
Is there a way to run the export/purge through a command line (by SSHing into the printer freeflow server)?
