Phaser 6510 - Paper size issues (a4) and jams

My problem is that the printer assumes I have 8.5x11" instead of A4 paper in the paper tray.

EWS > System > Defaults and Policies

Default Print Paper Size

Or, at the printer, login as admin and go to Device > General  > Measurements

Please tell me how to set-up the paper tray

Every time you close the tray it asks what you have in it,  change the settings to match what you loaded

It jams every time I start up the printer and continues to jam

Shut it off, open the trays and turn it on, cancel the job in the queue that is causing the jams, put paper back in, program them right and it won't do that.

I have this printer now for almost 2 years and printed no more than 10 pages without jams, still have the test toners inside :(. NO XEROX EVER AGAIN FOR ME.

I have this same issue except that mine is stuck in the loop of trying to print off a test page which jams every time. I set the printer up as A4 and I have checked in the print menu that it is A4 selected. I have also made sure that the tray paper guides are set for A4. Not sure what else to do?

Word is using the document size instead of the paper size.

So verify it is A4 in all these places

I'd like to add that images and sheet music are no problem. Apparently it's whenever I want to print out text?

Like it thinks I need 8.5x11'' paper, or it thinks the A4 paper is 8.5x11''? I don't know...

Brand new Phaser 6510, but unable to have successful prints. I've loaded it with standard plain A4 printing paper and I've installed drivers and such.

I believe I set it up right as well. Paper types, sizes and so on are all set to the correct (plain, a4 for instance).

When I prompt a print-out, correct settings in Word (a4 etc...), the printer displays a message: "CheckTray1 PaperSize 8.5x11'' Plain".

I've checked several times, the settings are set to A4, the printing paper is also A4. It's been correctly placed in the tray.

If I click OK to print anyway, the paper stops half-way on its way out (a jam). I need to open the back and pull it out, where I'll find about 80% of the text successfully printed, the rest not.

Not sure what's wrong here. Help or suggestions would be very much appreciated!
