At last, I did it.
I had to load up new firmware 64.51.01 instead of trying to reinstall 64.21.81. Printer boots several times then - and is back to me.
Hi,
same here when updating from 64.21.81 to 64.51.01 with fwdl5.3.6.0ww-20190524-1.
Holding OK and STOP-Button on starting brings me back to BOOT MODE - DOWNLOAD MODE. Then I was able to connect the firmware update tool again with the printer and sent 64.21.81 again. But even this ended with "Please wait ..."
Any help? I don't want to throw away working hardware because of software issues.
Did you have any luck getting this fixed in the end?
Ive got the same issue, and after 4 calls to support I have failed to reach anybody, it seems I wait on hold for about 20-30minutes and then the call gets disconnected (and it isnt my phone, which is working well).
Hi Daedra223,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please see the instructions for upgrading the firmware. If these instructions do not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
Hello,
I used the tool Win_FWTool_v5.3.3.8.zip and upgraded my phaser 6510 with this firmware 64.21.81_PH6510.zip.
The tool showed 100% and I closed it after the message, the printer showed 100% of the download finished, then it showed please wait and restarted.
Now I restarted it a serveral times it only shows "Please Wait ..." for hours ...
I think maybe the firmware update failed and it is not possible to boot.
Is there a way I can factory reset the printer to its default firmware? When I am trying to push buttons a LED starts to blink in an violett/ red light and the "Please wait..." Message still keeps.
How long does the installation took place after the update? I mean it were 250 mb ...
Thanks!
