For anyone else that may stumble upon this information, it is incorrect. The closest the Phaser 7500 can print to the edges is 5mm on all sides. This is sad since the 15+ year old printer that this thing has replaced was capable of better than this.
Hi Karina,
Make sure you are using the latest postscript driver available for the Phaser 7500 available on Xerox.com. If that does not resolve your issue, please contact us for additional support.
Thank you,
Tim
Hi Tim,
thank you for your reply.
Even if 7500 has the printable area shown in the image you sent us we can only obtain this:
So for one side (right or left the same) we cannot use the maximum printable area...
Is there something we can do?
Thank you
Karina
Hi kaika313 - I spoke with engineering and was able to get this information for you.
• Maximum Printable Area: 305 mm x 1192 mm
• Guaranteed Printable Area: 297 mm x 477 mm
The difference between max and guaranteed printable area normally is that, even though we may be able to print onto the page close to the edge, beyond the guaranteed area some print quality artifacts may appear. There is a variety of things in consideration, media, application, file design, etc.
Hope this helps.
Thank you,
Tim
Hi,
we have a Phaser 7500 and want to know what is the max printable area. We searched in user manual and also in Xerox support page but we didn't find anything about it, only about how to calibrate margins.
Where we can find printable area specifications?
Thanks in advance
Karina
