Re: Phaser 8560 MFP to mixed network setup (Ethernet/USB)

Hi The Asset,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. You will need to enable the Run Black feature to print without the magenta ink block.  If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,

Phaser 8560 MFP to mixed network setup (Ethernet/USB)

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

So Im configuring this used printer for my client, but I cannot seem to even print a test page, it errors our from either machine.

It seems to have installed fine, and finds itself on both ethernet and USB. The Ethernet is for the wireless Windows 8 laptop and the USB is for the XP machine (which is unallowed on the internet/network)

It is missing the magenta ink block. I have ordered a new replacement package, but hoped it wouldnt need color ones to print. The control panel tells me I have to add a magenta block. I have even tried printing a test notepad document, that errors out too. Does it need to have all the ink blocks in the machine to function in any regard? Seems weird that I'd need all the color blocks present if Im testing ti in black and white. I dont even know if the unit works at all

When I install the Windows 8 Driver, it finds a Xerox PS Color class driver, I hope this is all I need to print in both color and in Blackand White.
