I have a printer on site that won't start. The problem is that I need to know the specific settings on this printer. Is there anyway for me to extract a clone file or print a cofig report?
I suspect that the harddrive might be faulty.
If the machine does not start unfortunately not. It is possible to be from a faulty power supply.
Thanks. I think I was a but unclear. The printer starts but it seems to be stuck in a boot loop.
I can see the loading screen but I can't get past it.
The problem is that I need the settins on the disk. If I altboot och update then the settings will go away I think.
My quest is. Is there anyway for me to still access the settings?
Can I do that without knowing the IP? Can I plug the cable directly from my PC to the printer and access the CWIS?

Yes, but not in your case when it won't actually turn (all the way) on.
It's a complete lost cause, if it doesn't turn on, you won't get the settings, its no different than trying to send mail from a post box somebody welded shut.
It represent the boot of the machine at starting. When the machine is started that 7 segment will show a sequence of numbers and letters. If the machine is Ok at the finish of booting it will show a flashing dot. If there is a problem with the machine it will show a cipher or a letter and as per service manual, the techs will know what they have to do for machine repairing.
