Re: Regret buying this printer

I have about the same. I bought this printer some years ago and it worked until last week very well.

But suddenly, maybe after an upgrade of my OS system to Monterey (12.5.1) I got problems and I can't find the reason. I can print one time, but a second print order ends in multiple sheets each with only one rule of ASCCI letters... After switching off the printer, the same is happening: first print order is OK, second not.

Printing from my iPad is OK, without problems.

Of course I restarted the computer, downloaded and installed the software anew, but nothing helps.

I hope there will come a solution, because in this way I cannot work!

Thanks!

Re: Regret buying this printer

Hello uncle_pete,

I searched our online knowledge base and found article that maybe helpful and our youtube site for a video on installing mac drivers. If you are still having issues after trying these steps, I suggest that you call into our support department for assistance @ 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100.

Install drivers and software for Mac OS.

Regret buying this printer

Product Name: Xerox B210 Printer
Operating System: macOS 12 - Monterey

When this printer did not set up without assistance - which is ridiculous on a Mac - I came here to get a driver. Clicking on "Download" brought a long page of ASCII characters rather than a download, & I saved it as a DMG. Opening it was presented with 3 folders, and no explanation or instruction. I ran the Printer Driver.pkg, only to be met with an empty "Add Printer" box in System Preferences. Back here, a link to more information led to a link to instructions, which led to a page "redirecting" to another page, which never redirected. When suddenly the printer appeared in the "Add Printer," attempting to print a sample led to a continuous printing of page after page of ASCII characters, with no way to stop it except to pull the power cable. In effect, Xerox has managed to completely defeat the simplicity & reliabilty of the macOS, and turn it into Windows. This is THE single most outdated, inept, frustrating, and useless installation app and process I have ever experienced, and the reason I walked the PC to the dumpster 20-yrs ago. If there is anyone who has managed to resolved the conflict despite Xerox, I would really appreciate knowing how, and preferably before I reeturn or destroy this printer.
