Re: SIQA software

The alignment process aligns the tray/stock at the IOT (printer)

You do nothing different from the point of job submissions, SIQA does very similar to how it was when a Xerox tech would come in and go into Diagnostics and manually align the tray at the device. It doesn't replace that method, it works along side of it, there are some cases where the Maintenance/Diagnostics method will still be needed, but vastly less than in the past.

Re: SIQA software

I do have a question related to SIQA Auto Alignment. In the past I had tried to run this via the PC and it was a pain in the arse. I'm glad to see that I can use this via the printer interface. I'm curious to know that if I use SIQA for alignment do I turn on page alignment when I print a job? Also, does SIQA alignment override the old-school tray alignment via calibrator?

Re: SIQA software

Please call Xerox and speak to the support people, or page a tech and have them do the firmware.

You said "the version I linked works on all C70 releases" which was refering to the firmware you linked, right?

Yes

I didnt see a link to the SIQA application.

Since it should not be needed, and I already explained it is the same for all printers that use it, there is no reason to link what you already have

If you are refering to the firmware, I am confused by "works on all C70 releases" because the release notes say "Use this firmware release if you currently have version 60.20.11 or higher."

They absolutely do not state that, and I did not even supply a version that contains release notes, they came with the version you downloaded from the drivers page, not the one Ilinked

The other firmware version, 60.12.53 is indicated as the highest  I can install.

See above

Joe sorry if I am being dense, can you clarify? You said "the version I linked works on all C70 releases" which was refering to the firmware you linked, right? I didnt see a link to the SIQA application.

Thank you for your time Joe.

Re: SIQA software

I am Xerox 2nd level support for the C60/C70, the version I linked works on all C70 releases, where the ones on Xerox.com's download page are General releases from when the device was still forked to 2 paths. Current spar firmwares are merged.

Re: SIQA software

Joe I think that may not be quite correct, because this is my C70 with EX Fiery download page: xerox.com/support/xerox-color-c60-c70

and my machine is at the latest firmware possible, I got it off that page and installed it, and verified the software levels. Looks like there are early/late versions of the C60/C70 hence two firmware versions available? So SIQA is onboard in the other version but not mine.

I sought out the SIQA application because when I went to the Admin tool you reference and selected alignment adjustment, after printing and scanning there was not anything available to save the profile, selecting "confirm" just ended it.

But thanks for confirming I have the right SIQA application.

Re: SIQA software

SIQA is the same no matter the printer when the intent is to run it from a PC.

But nobody does that on a C70 if they are anywhere near current levels of firmware since SIQA is built into the device itself as of late 2016,and doesn't need to software or a PC at all for that matter.

As admin

Machine Status > Tools > System Settings > Common Service Settings > Maintenance

Touch the down arrow and choose either Density Uniformity Adjustment or Alignment Adjustment

See the attached

All you need is to download the Black backing sheet from here

SIQA software

Jump to solution
Product Name: Xerox Color C60/C70
Operating System: Windows 7 x64

This C70 (used) didnt come with a Xerox CD so I had to search out the SIQA software. All I could find on Xerox.com is for the C75/J75

When installed it shows version one. Is the correct software for my C70?

Thank you
