Re: SMB protocol and printing

Pick a method

1. Push the Machine status button and look at the screen

2. Print a Configuration Report

3. CWIS > Status > Configuration Report > Software Versions

4. CWIS > Properties > General Setup > Configuration report > Software Versions

Re: SMB protocol and printing

Did you create a new account to ask the same question from 4 hours ago as a different user?

There is no known issue, and you sent me a PM from this account already so I know you must have read the other post from 4 hours ago..

There is no known issue, Nobody outside of this forum has reported the issue anywhere in North America or Europe, or Asia to Xerox.

All of the Connectkey line works with SMB2 and 3 if they are running the current spar levels of software, the General releases on Xerox.com (They all end with .34540 have errors with Server 2012 in general unrelated to SMB1 so get them updated)

The 7970 spar is in the other post, the 7855 is here

Re: SMB protocol and printing

Hi there

We are using XEROX WorkCenter 7855 and 7970 configured to scan to a SMB share on windows server 2012 R2.

Do you see any issues with disabling SMBv1 on the windows server ??

Re: SMB protocol and printing

3220 if at current spar firmware *should* work

Other 3 are current Connectkey platforms and 100% will work if even close to current firmware. (If the default SMB port when setting it up is 445 it will work, if it is 139 it needs to be upgraded)

Re: SMB protocol and printing

We are currently running 7835's, 6655's and 3655's. We have a couple 3220's floating around but those are of no concern if they stop working.

Thanks for the info.

Re: SMB protocol and printing

This would require you to explain what the devices are, anything relatively new will work just fine, while anything Xerox stopped supporting/developing may be completely unable to use SMB2-3 (port 445 vs 139)

SMB protocol and printing

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Due to some updated security requirements (and the fact microsoft encourages you not to use it), SMBv1 will be disabled on all servers in our company.

The only thing that comes to mind that will be affected by this is, workflow scanning, server fax, and scan to home.

Are there any printer issues that might pop up that i am missing? we run server 2008R2 and 2012R2 with 70 plus xerox devices.

Thanks,
