Hi Tammy,
Thanks for your help and information on my issue. Yes this is exactly how the menu is on my 6022. However unfortunately the is no option in this to stop it going into stir the toner mode when it decides to. Thanks for looking though.
Hello richardoffice,
I searched our online knowledge base the only instruction if found is on how to run the toner refresh (stir) if needed to. I do not have any instruction if it's running by itself, that would be an issue for a service technician.
Use the Toner Refresh option to access the remaining Toner (Dry Ink) in a cartridge before replacing it, or to stir the Toner in a new cartridge.
NOTE: Do not use the Toner Refresh option repeatedly for a single Toner Cartridge as it uses the Toner supply more quickly.
Hi Tammy, Thanks for your response. I phoned Xerox UK, however the Xerox person I spoke with said after checking the printers and my details, that I do not have a warranty or contract with Xerox as I got this printer direct from Xerox-UK in 2017, therefore if he transferred my call to the Xerox technicians they would refuse to talk to me as I had no contract. And he said my other option of having an onsite visit I would have to pay for.
All I wanted was to be told how I might go into my printers settings and turn off constant tona stirring?
Regards Richard
Phaser 6022
Hello richardoffice,
The stir toner mode should only be used once per toner cartridge as it does use the toner supply more quickly. If you machine is going into this mode frequently I would suggest that you call into the support department @ 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100
On average my Phaser 6022 only pints just one page per day and almost every time it has finished it then goes into stir the toner mode, which I think waste some of my expensive tona, I don’t think it used to do this at first but now it does.
Is this how it should be?
